The Best AI Roblox Skin Makers in 2026: Skinomics, Customuse, UGCraft and Five More Compared

Eight tools that turn a text prompt into Roblox clothing, compared on what they actually output, where they run and what they cost. Written by the Skinomics team, competitors' strengths included.

Quick verdict

For classic shirts and pants on an iPhone or iPad with the least setup, Skinomics fits well. If you need 3D layered clothing, Android or a large established platform, Customuse is the stronger pick, and people who design in a browser should look at UGCraft, Meshlox, Alive or AIPolyLab.

Type "black hoodie with a neon green lightning bolt", tap a button, and get a shirt your avatar can actually wear: that's the pitch behind every AI Roblox skin maker. In 2026 there are enough of them that choosing one has become a small research project of its own. Some are iPhone apps, some run in a browser, some make flat classic clothing and a few reach into 3D.

This roundup is for Roblox players and beginner creators who want to make shirts and pants with AI and need to know which tool fits their device, budget and plans. We look at eight tools that generate Roblox clothing from a prompt: Skinomics, Customuse, UGCraft, Meshlox, Alive, AIPolyLab, AuraWear Skin Maker and Kubic's Clothes Maker for Skins.

A note on bias: we build Skinomics. To keep this useful anyway, we stick to what each tool publicly states, we say where competitors are ahead of us, and we leave out anything we couldn't confirm. Everything below was checked in October 2026.

First, what kind of "skin" do you want?

"Skin" gets used loosely in Roblox circles. Before comparing tools, it helps to know which of these you're actually after:

  • Classic shirts and pants. A flat image laid out on Roblox's 585×559 px template, with panels for the front, back, sides, arms and legs. This is what most AI Roblox outfit generators make.
  • 3D layered clothing. Garments built as 3D meshes that fit around the avatar's body.
  • 3D accessories. Hats, wings, backpacks and other UGC items.
  • Full avatars. A complete, rigged character.

Every tool in this roundup makes classic clothing. Only a few go further: Customuse covers layered clothing and accessories, UGCraft has separate makers for them, and Kubic adds a generator for low-poly 3D items. Worth knowing too: Roblox itself warns that many user-made avatar bodies on the Marketplace don't support 2D classic clothing, so try your design on the body you actually wear.

The tools, one by one

Skinomics

Skinomics (listed on the App Store as "Skinomics: Skin Maker with AI") is our iPhone and iPad app, and it does one job: classic Roblox shirts and pants. You type a description, say it with voice input, or tap a suggestion chip such as "Jacket" or "Cowboy" (a shuffle button deals out more), pick Shirt or Pants and send. The result opens on a 3D R15 avatar that you can rotate, zoom and relight, and it's saved to your Inventory. A template editor with a guide overlay handles touch-ups: pen, marker, eraser, 16 sticker packs, shapes, imported images and layers. If you'd rather start from something, Discover and Explore hold hundreds of ready-made designs. When you're happy, you can upload to Roblox from inside the app after signing in. The limits are real, though: App Store only, an English interface, no 3D layered clothing or accessories, and 42 ratings, a small base next to the big names.

Customuse

Customuse describes itself as an "AI 3D creation platform", and it's the heavyweight here, with 72,583 ratings on iOS and more than 10 million downloads on Google Play. It runs on the web, iOS and Android and makes Roblox and Minecraft skins from a text prompt. Its Roblox feature list covers layered clothing from a prompt, classic clothing, accessories, thumbnails, world assets, auto-retopology, auto rig and fit, and direct upload to Roblox, with a 3D editor (layers, brushes, symmetry) on top. If you want one tool that can grow with you into 3D UGC, Customuse is the obvious candidate. The trade-off is more to learn and higher prices on the web plans.

UGCraft

UGCraft is a website. Its Roblox shirt maker turns a prompt into classic shirt, pants or T-shirt UV textures, which you download and upload to Roblox yourself; there's no direct publishing. Separate tools handle layered clothing (Clothing Maker) and 3D accessories (Accessory Maker), and a Cage Generator is in beta. The free plan gives 20 credits, adds a watermark and is for non-commercial use only, so anyone planning to sell will need to look at the paid plans and their terms.

Meshlox Clothing Maker

Meshlox works in the browser and leans on image mapping as much as on AI. Describe an outfit or upload a picture (JPG backgrounds are removed automatically), and it maps the design onto the torso, arm and leg panels. A live R6 preview shows the result, and you download a 585×559 PNG. Meshlox calls it a "free tool" and shows no prices. It also warns that traced brand logos get moderated, which is good advice whichever tool you use.

Alive (Alive Studio)

Alive, at alivegames.io, is a browser studio for Roblox, FiveM and CS2. On the Roblox side you get template remixing, an AI Template Generator, an AI Shirt Photobash that turns an image into a shirt, a Clothing Tester preview and 585×559 export. The site says it's "totally free" while also mentioning premium AI features and exports, and we couldn't confirm what those cost.

AIPolyLab

AIPolyLab is a web generator: write a prompt, optionally add a reference image, and get a shirt or pants template with a real-time 3D preview. Images in its library are watermarked. Pricing wasn't shown when we checked.

AuraWear Skin Maker

AuraWear is a young iOS app, released in June 2026, that applies an AI-generated texture "onto the official Roblox layout". It adds style templates, a wardrobe and export to the Files app, and it's English only. It runs on credits, from $2.99 for 5 up to $49.99 for 130, with a Creator Pass and a Pro Pass on top. It had no ratings when we looked.

Kubic: Clothes Maker for Skins

Kubic's app, from developer Accelar, is iPhone-only and packs a lot in, including 3D: text-to-skin, image-to-skin, a layer editor, R6 and R15 preview, standard 585×559 templates, and an AI generator for low-poly 3D items exported as .obj files. It's at version 1.0 with no ratings, so there's little public feedback to go on yet.

How they really differ

App or browser

Skinomics, AuraWear and Kubic are iOS apps (Kubic on iPhone only). UGCraft, Meshlox, Alive and AIPolyLab live in the browser. Customuse is the only one covering the web, iOS and Android, which settles things if you play on an Android phone.

Classic only, or 3D too

If all you want is shirts and pants, any of the eight will do. If you think you'll want layered clothing or accessories later, Customuse and UGCraft are built for that, and Kubic offers 3D item generation. Skinomics stays deliberately focused on classic clothing.

Getting the design into Roblox

Skinomics and Customuse can upload straight to Roblox. UGCraft, Meshlox and Alive give you a file to download and upload yourself, and AuraWear exports to Files. Whichever route you take, Roblox charges the same upload fee: 80 Robux per shirt or pants at the time of writing.

What they cost

All prices are US App Store or US website prices as of October 2026, and they vary by country.

  • Skinomics: free to download. Each AI generation needs either Skinomics Pro ($5.99 a month or $25.99 a year) or one short rewarded ad. Reference images are a Pro feature.
  • Customuse: a free tier, then web plans of Starter at $14.99/mo (1,000 credits), Pro at $35/mo (3,000 credits, up to $65 for 7,000) and Studio at $99/mo, with 20% off yearly. iOS in-app purchases range from $6.99 to $69.99.
  • UGCraft: free with 20 credits, a watermark and non-commercial use; Creator at $9/mo ($108 billed yearly, 300 credits) or Pro at $18/mo ($216 billed yearly, 700 credits).
  • AuraWear: credits from $2.99 (5) to $49.99 (130); Creator Pass $9.99, Pro Pass $19.99.
  • Kubic: Premium at $7.99 or $69.99.
  • Meshlox, Alive, AIPolyLab: no confirmed prices. Meshlox calls itself free, Alive's basic tools are free with premium extras, and AIPolyLab doesn't show pricing.

On top of any tool, Roblox's own fees apply: 80 Robux to upload each classic shirt or pants, and putting items up for sale also needs a 10 Robux publishing advance and a Roblox Plus or Premium membership.

How to make a Roblox shirt with Skinomics

  1. Install Skinomics from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Describe the shirt you want by typing, using voice input or tapping a suggestion chip, and choose Shirt.
  3. Send the prompt with Pro or by watching one short ad. The design opens on a 3D avatar and is saved to your Inventory.
  4. Fine-tune it in the template editor if you like, with stickers, drawing, shapes or an imported image.
  5. Upload it to Roblox from the app (80 Robux) or export the PNG.

Which one should you pick?

  • You're on iPhone or iPad and want classic shirts and pants with little setup: Skinomics. The free path costs you an ad per design rather than a subscription.
  • You want 3D layered clothing, accessories, Android or the largest community: Customuse.
  • You design on a computer: UGCraft if you also want 3D makers, Meshlox if you're mapping your own image, Alive if you like remixing templates or also make FiveM and CS2 content, and AIPolyLab if you want to steer results with a reference image.
  • You're curious about AI 3D items on iPhone: Kubic, keeping in mind it has no ratings yet.
  • You'd rather buy credits than subscribe: AuraWear's credit packs.

Our honest take

No single tool wins for everyone. Customuse is the most complete platform in this list and the only one here with an Android app; if 3D UGC is your goal, start there. The web tools are handy when you design on a laptop, though several don't publish prices, so check before you commit. Kubic and AuraWear are interesting newcomers that simply haven't built a track record yet.

Skinomics makes the most sense for one specific reader: someone with an iPhone or iPad who wants classic Roblox shirts and pants from a prompt, wants to see them on a 3D avatar right away, and would rather watch an ad than pay up front. If that's you, give it a try. If it isn't, one of the other seven will likely serve you better, and that's fine.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free AI Roblox skin maker?

Several have a free route. Skinomics is free to download and lets you generate by watching one short ad per design, Customuse has a free tier, UGCraft gives 20 free credits (watermarked, non-commercial), and Meshlox calls itself a free tool. Uploading to Roblox still costs Robux.

How do I make Roblox clothes with AI?

Describe the outfit in a text prompt, choose shirt or pants, and let the generator lay the design out on Roblox's classic template. Check it on a 3D preview, then upload it to Roblox, either from the app (Skinomics, Customuse) or by downloading the image and uploading it yourself.

What size is a Roblox shirt template?

Classic shirts and pants use a 585×559 px template, saved as PNG or JPG. Classic T-shirts are different: a square image, such as 512×512, shown on the front of the torso.

How much does it cost to upload a shirt to Roblox?

Roblox charges 80 Robux per classic shirt or pants upload, and it's generally not refunded if moderation rejects the item. To sell, you also need ID verification (13+, or a linked ID-verified parent account), 2-step verification, a Roblox Plus or Premium membership and a 10 Robux publishing advance.

Which AI Roblox skin makers work on Android?

Of the tools in this roundup, only Customuse has an Android app. Skinomics, AuraWear and Kubic are on the App Store, while UGCraft, Meshlox, Alive and AIPolyLab run in a web browser.

Is AI-generated clothing allowed on Roblox?

Roblox's Marketplace Policy has no specific ban on AI-generated clothing. Like any other item, it must follow the Community Standards, the Marketplace Policy and intellectual property rules, and the person who uploads it is responsible for it.

Is Skinomics affiliated with Roblox?

No. Skinomics is an independent app from Symaro, LLC, and it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. Signing in with your Roblox account is simply how the app uploads the designs you choose.

Which of these tools can make 3D layered clothing?

Customuse makes layered clothing and accessories, UGCraft has separate Clothing Maker and Accessory Maker tools, and Kubic can generate low-poly 3D items. Skinomics, Meshlox, Alive, AIPolyLab and AuraWear focus on classic 2D templates.

Quick questions from creators

I only have a laptop. Which one?

Pick a web tool: UGCraft, Meshlox, Alive, AIPolyLab or Customuse's website.

Which one is quickest to pick up?

A single-purpose app with one prompt box, like Skinomics, has fewer menus than a full 3D platform. Customuse does far more, so there's more to learn.

Can I make pants that match my shirt?

Yes. In Skinomics, pick Pants and reuse a similar prompt; just remember each garment is its own 80 Robux upload.

Are the new iOS apps proven yet?

Not by ratings: AuraWear and Kubic had zero ratings when we checked, and Skinomics had 42, averaging 4.5 stars.

Can I sell designs from UGCraft's free plan?

No. UGCraft's free plan is for non-commercial use only and adds a watermark.
